Kevin Maynard
Vice-President @Canadian Foundation for Economic Education
Kevin has worked with CFEE in various capacities since 1998, primarily as Chief Operating Officer and most recently as primary project facilitator for “Managing Your Money In Canada, a series of financial literacy workshops developed for seniors, newcomers and recent immigrants to Canada. He has been a key member of a number of CFEE project teams responsible the development and execution of CFEE programs. He has primary responsibility for coordinating school board liaison with CFEE and its variety of youth oriented financial literacy programs. Kevin is a Career Coach to newcomers and a public speaker to students in career exploration settings. He is a governor and treasurer of the Canadian Career Development Foundation. Kevin and his partner Jeff enjoy sailing in their spare time from their home base at the Port Credit Yacht Club.
Jane Scanlon
@Anglican Diocese of Ottawa
Jane is the staff resource for the ministry of communications and stewardship for the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa. She engages congregations in stewardship education and best practices through conferences, workshops and consultations. She is responsible to Today 4 Tomorrow – the diocesan annual appeal to raise $300,000 annually for outreach ministries. She brings 25+ years of experience, a Master’s degree in Religious Studies and deep personal faith to this ministry. Currently Jane is on the Parish Council for St. Paul’s Almonte and a member of the Cornerstone Housing for Women Fundraising and Communications Committee. Previously she was Chair of the Ontario Stewardship Network and on the Board of Directors for the Episcopal Network for Stewardship. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
Kathryn Smith
Giving Advisor @ELFEC (Lutheran Foundation)
Kathryn has been part of the ELFEC team since August 2018, serving individuals and congregations in the role of Giving Advisor. Her passion is meeting people and assisting them in reaching their philanthropic goals by leaving planned (legacy) gifts to the Church – in all of its expressions. She knows these gifts support the Church in living out the mission to which God has called us, believing that our generosity can become part of our legacy. Kathryn’s background includes working in the financial services sector in pensions and benefits, as well as completing an MA in Theology from Martin Luther University College. She is also involved in the wider church, both at the synod and national levels. Along with her husband, Jeff, Kathryn calls Guelph, Ontario, home.
